Biography

Augustin was born in 1730. He was the son of Christopher Shepherd and Mary Lilly. He passed away in 1796.

The bio on Augustine mentions these points:

Augustine Shepherd was born Oct 5th 1734 in Goochland/Fluvanna County and died Nov. 1795.

He inherited land from his father Christopher Shephard, brother David, and his wife Sarah Shelton's brother William Shelton.

It also mentions his real estate deals with his brothers John and Dubartus.

It states that Augustine sold 200+ acres to his son-in-law, John Haggard, husband of Mary "Molly" Shephard;

In Augustine's will, the rest of the land would go to his wife Sarah Shelton, and then to his son Augustine Jr. After her husband died, Sarah continued to buy property - she bought back the land that her husband had sold to John Haggard. She died early 1814.
