"Darla Jonas, 58, of Arden went home peacefully, Sunday evening with her family by her side.
"She was a native of Buncombe County. She was the daughter of Lynn Emory Culberson and the late Blackwell Shepherd. Besides her mother, she is survived by a son, Donald Nathan Hensley; two daughters, Darla Mandy Hensley, and Holly Lynn Conley (Chris). She was proceeded in death by a sister, Deidre Beth Lawson. She is also survived by three sisters, Sherry Owenby, Julie Grooms, and Katelyn Carter; a brother, Joshua Linville, six grandchildren who were the light of her life; and two great-grandchildren on the way. She has a large family that loved and adored her.
"Darla will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and love for others.
"A memorial service for Darla will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Highlands Cremation & Funeral Care, 2393 Hendersonville Road. The family will receive friends beginning at1:00 PM. All are welcome."
