She passed away in 1912.[2] Her Obituary appeared in the local press:[3]
On Saturday last, at South Grafton, the death occurred of a very well-known resident, in the person of Mrs. Martha Orr, at the advanced age of 82 years. The deceased was a native of Bathurst, but had been resident in South Grafton for a long time. Her husband pre-deceased her, but five grown-up children survive, four sons (Messrs. David, Thomas, James and, Geo. Orr), and one daughter. The interment took place on Sunday In tho Presbyterian portion of the South Grafton cemetery.
