Biography

Isaac Shepheard, son of Raph Shepheard, was born 20 (4) 1639, (20 June 1639) in Waymouth [sic], Massachusetts[1][2] He and Mary Smedley were married at Concord on December 10, 1667.[3] and they had at least three children (named in their grandfather's deed.)[4]

"In a land deed Ralph Shepard conveyed land in Concord Village, to the children of his deceased son, Issac, as follows:

For and in Consideration of a vallueable summ of money to me in hand paid by Isaac Shepard, deceased, for the most part, and the remainder by Nathaniel Jewell now marryed to the Relict of the said Isaac Shepard of the afores (aid) Towne, the receipt wherof I doe hereby acknowledge,,,All which parcels were in the possession of Isaac Shepard aforesaid, and occupied by him in the time of his life: Also...one third part of my said farme yet undivided...unto the said Isaac Shepard, Mary Shepard and Samuel Shepard, the Children of the aforesaid Isaac Shepard deceas(ed)."

On February 12, 1675/6, brothers Isaac and Abraham were ambushed by indians and Isaac was killed.[4] Abraham survived and co-administered the estate with Isaac's wife Mary. Isaac is buried at Power Burying Ground, Littleton (previously Concord), Middlesex, MA.
