Frederick Shepherd, born on June 9th 1859, was christened by his mother Ann Shepherd on August 28th in Worfield[1]
In 1861, 1 year old Frederick is living with his grandparents William and Sarah in Worfield[2]
In 1871, 11 year old Frederick is living with his mother and her new husband Thomas Wood in Wolverhampton[3]. He is marked as a son of Thomas Wood, but he was born some years before the marriage.

I can't find Frederick after 1871, but there is at least one Frederick Shepherd born in England in 1860 who emigrated to Canada. This may be him.
A Frederick Shephard married Sarah Ann Smith in Wolverhampton in 1876 but later census records show that that Frederick was born in Salford, not Shropshire.
