Biography

May (Gameau) Heddle was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Mary Matilda Gameau was born 1880, her birth registered that year in the Adelaide district, South Australia. She is the daughter of Gerard Henry Gameau and Mary Elizabeth Partridge. [1]

WIFE'S TRAGIC DISCOVERY.
Husband Found Dead
When Mrs. Thomas Shepherd, of James Street, East Marden, called her husband to tea at about 6 o'clock on Saturday evening he failed to respond.
Mrs. Shepherd went on to the verandah and found him lying dead on a couch.
Deceased was a gardener aged fifty-one years. About a week ago he complained of a cold and sore throat, but continued his avocations. On Saturday he felt unwell, and decided to rest on the verandah during the afternoon. He was not considered seriously ill.
The late Mr. Shepherd was well known and respected in the district. [3]
