William died at the age of 77 on 30 March 1930 in Victoria, B.C.[3]
Research Notes
Note: William Sheret and his brother-in-law Alexander Harper set up in partnership as "Harper and Sheret, Slaters," probably in Summerfield Terrace. They were brought up in the east end of Aberdeen, close to May and Jane's parents home in Urquhart Road. Eventually the partnership broke up, and in the early 1900's, William and May moved to Leith, a port near Edinburgh. In 1911, they emigrated to Canada, following several of their children, and settled in Victoria, British Columbia.
