Biography
Mary Sherman was born on 20 Nov 1901 in Belfast, Antrim, Ireland, daughter of James Sherman (1867– ) and Mary McCaw (1870–1939). The family resided at 33 Great Georges St in Belfast, and Mary's father James was a labourer.[1]
In the 1911 Census, Mary (age 9) was living with her family in a house 34 of Great George's Street, Dock Ward (Belfast, Clifton), Antrim. Nine male boarders also lived in the house.[2]
