Biography
Ruth was a Friend (Quaker)
Ruth was born about 15 Oct 1774 in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of John Sherman and Experience (Kelley) Sherman. Ruth Sherman and Rufus Gifford had several more children.
She married Rufus Gifford on 8 Oct 1795 in Rochester, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Rufus, Ruth, and their child Isaac were granted a certificate to the Easton monthly meeting from the Dartmouth monthly meeting on 20th of 4 mo. 1801 [20 Apr 1801].[1]
She died about 24 Oct 1811 in Greenwich, Ohio.
