Biography
John was born about 1847. He was the son of George Sherman and Becky Timotea. He passed away before 1860.
"Becky Timotea married a European by the last name of Sherman. The Shermans had twins, a girl and a boy named Mary and John. Mary Sherman is my grandmother on my mother’s side of the family. Mary was very fair with dark eyes. She was a determined woman and rather quick in temperament, while John was olive complected, frail, and gentle. He was never strong physically and died in his early youth." [1]
