Biography
Walter was born 1851 in New York. He is the son of Epaphras Jones Sherman and Mary Louise Rothchild who were married on 8 May, 1847.

Walter married Katherine 'Kate' Melissa Daly on 10 October, 1873, in New York. Katherine passed away in 1895.
Walter later married Isabella Anne Magee on 15 December, 1896.
