Arioch Lapham was the son of Thomas and Thankful (Smith) Lapham, He married Eunice Sherman and they had at least two children:
Arioch Lapham, Sr., was born in Smithfield, Rhode Island, moved with his parents to Cayuga County, New York and married Eunice Sherman about 1815. They had three sons,
Eunice's father was Charles Sherman, a native of Massachusetts. He moved from Dartmouth about 1800 and settled in the town of Venice, Cayuga county, where he owned a farm. He died about 1820. Her mother was Lois West. There is a statement here that I believe refers to Eunice:
