Biography
Mary Elizabeth Sherman was born on March 22, 1906, in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Frederick Sherman and Esther Davis. On 27 Jun 1929, Mary married Richard Rowlands and they had a daughter, Joyce. By April of 1930, Mary and Joyce were living with Mary’s parents and the 1930 US Census shows Mary as single. She met and later married Ernest William Canterbury on 25 Mar 1939 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She died on September 6, 1992, in Walnutport, Pennsylvania, at the age of 86, and was buried in Moscow, Pennsylvania.
