She married Rev. Lyman Burt Peet on 14 April 1839 in Middlebury, Addison Co., Vermont. Together they served as missionaries for the American Southern Methodist Episcopal Mission.
Mother of Sarah Andrus Peet, Jane Sherrill "Jennie" (Peet) MacGowan, Frances Rebecca Peet, and Anna Stebbins Peet.
Rebecca died on 17 July 1856 in Foo-Chow ( now Fuzhou), Fujian, Chinaand was buried at Foo-Chow Mission Cemetery,
