John Sherwood, son of Dr. Thomas Sherwood was born in1709. He married Hannah Parruck, daughter of John at Newtown, Connecticut in 1727. He died in 1783 at Newtown. He was buried in Newtown Village Cemetery, Newtown, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
