Biography

Doris (Sherwood) Harper is one of twins.

Doris Mildred was born on March 16, 1910^[1] in Edwardsburgh Township, Grenville County, Ontario, the daughter of Malcolm Sherwood and Mary Jane Young.

She was the twin sister of Dora May.

In 1911, Malcolm and Mary were living in Augusta Township, Grenville County, Ontario^[2], with their children: Lulu, Clarence, William, Lillie, Florence, Doris, and Dora.

In 1921, Malcolm and Mary were living in Augusta Township, Grenville County, Ontario^[3], with their daughters, Florence and Doris.

She married Ernest Harper in 1929^[4]. Their marriage record reads:

Ernest Chillian Harper, laborer, 22, bachelor, residing in Cardinal, born in Matilda Township, son of Robert Harper and Jennet McKay, married

Doris Mildred Sherwood, housekeeper, 19, spinster, residing ini Prescott, bornn in Augusta Township, daughter of Malcolm Sherwood and Mary Young,

Witnesss: Carman Alberry, North Augusta, Ontario; and Lillie Alberry, North Augusta,

In the Village of Cardinal, on the 20th day of June, 1929.

In 1931, Ernest and Doris were living in the Village of Cardinal^[5]. They had no children.

Doris died in 1974 and was buried at Maynard Cemetery^[6]
