Biography

Thomas Sherwood was born on 26 December 1824 at Richmond, New South Wales, Australia^[1][2][3], the son of John Sherwood and Ann Lane, and the brother of Joseph Sherwood, Mary Sherwood, Sarah Sherwood, Hannah Bridget Shearwood, Anne Sherwood, Thomas Sherwood and James Sherwood.

He married Hannah Crump on 24 August 1846 in New South Wales, Australia^[4][5][6] and their children were James Sherwood, Charles "Tom" Thomas Sherwood, Mary Anne Sherwood, Joseph Sherwood, George Sherwood, Emma Sherwood, Henry Sherwood, William Sherwood, Elizabeth Shearwood, Peter Sherwood, Andrew John Sherwood, Sarah Sherwood, Ada Sherwood and Clara Emily Shearwood.

Thomas died on 12 April 1891 at Orange, New South Wales, Australia^[7].

Note: Thomas married Hannah Crump, the daughter of convict Thomas Crump the ship "Surprise" 1794. Hannah's mother was Convict Mary Johnson who arrived aboard the ship on the "Aeolus", on January 26, 1809, aged 18 years.

Thomas was born in 1824. He passed away in 1891.
