Biography

16 January 1888 Ida Belle Sherwood, the daughter of Martin Sherwood and Alice Sherwood, was born in Milan, Erie, Ohio, United States.[1][2]

1 March 1906 Ida Belle Sherwood (age 18, born 16 Jan 1888) married Lester E. Brown (age 19, born 11 Feb 1887) in Huron, Ohio, United States. Lester was a telegraph operator. [3][4]

7 Sept 1908 their son Paul Eugene Brown was born in Ohio. 5 August 1991 Paul E Brown (age 82) died in Indian Hill, Hamilton, Ohio, United States.[5]

In the 1910 census, Ida B Brown (age 22), Lester E Brown (age 23), and son Paul E (age 1 y 6 m) in Norwalk, Huron, Ohio, United States. They were renting a house. Lester was a telegraph operator for the railroad.[6]

26 Jan 1911 their daughter Marian H Brown was born in Norwalk, Huron, Ohio, United States. 11 October 2002 Marian H Evans (age 91) died in Canton, Stark, Ohio, United States. [7]

In the 1920 census, Ida Brown (age 31) was recorded with her husband Lester Brown (age 32) and children Paul (age 11) and Marian (age 8) at 1316 Green Hiway, Stark, Ohio, United States. Lester was a train Dispatcher for the W-L-E R’d [Wheeling Lake Erie Railroad].[8]

9 April 1930 census, Lester and Ida (both age 42), Paul O (age 21) and Marian H (age 19) were at 102 11 St SW in Massillon, Stark, Ohio, United States. Lester was 19 and Ida was 18 when they married. He was a train dispatcher at Wheeling Lake Erie Railroad. Lester was not a U.S. veteran.[9]

In the 1940 census, Ida Belle (age 52) and Lester Brown (age 53) owned a $5000 value home in Massillon, Stark, Ohio, United States. Lester was a train dispatcher at a steam railroad.[10]

30 January 1943 Ida Belle's husband Lester Eugene Brown died in Massillon, Stark, Ohio, United States. His birth was 11 Feb 1887 in Napolean, Ohio to parents Fred E Brown (born in Ontario, New York) and Etta Myers (born in Holgate, Ohio). His wife was Ida Belle. His occupation was dispatcher. Cause of death was Thrombosis Mesenteric Vessels (gangrene) intestines jejunum.[11]

29 June 1964 Ida Belle Sherwood Brown (age 76) died in a nursing home in Wayne County, Ohio, United States. and was buried in Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Massillon, Stark, Ohio, United States.[12]
