Biography

Jeffrey was born in 1896 to the parents Geffrey Sherwood and Annie Marsh. To save any confusion, his father was registerred as Geffrey, not Jeffrey, by his mother by a spelling mistake. He has always gone by Jeffrey all his life though. This is a family story passed down to me by my Mother Lily Sherwood Truslove, who was his daughter.

He grew up in the Tipton & Coseley area of Staffordshire, where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth Clayton. The couple married in 1914, in Dudley, Staffordshire. Together they proudly raised 6 girls and 1 boy. It was extreemly difficult as it was during WWII, but this extreemly close knit family did itl. He died in 1960, in Staffordshire, England.
