Henry Martyn Sherwood BA was educated in 1830 in Oxford, OXF, ENG. He graduated in 1832 in OXF, OXF. Henry married, at age 20, Sarah Sliegh Barber, aged 23 , daughter of Mariah Barber, on Wednesday, 18 June 1834 in Adbaston, STF, ENG.2 Appointed as Curate in 1836 in Rushock, Kidderminster, WOR, ENG. Vicar of the Parish Church circa March 1839 in White Ladies Aston, Pershore, WOR, ENG. Also Vicar of Broughton Hackett between 1843 and 1898. Henry married, at age 51, Mary Emma Taylor on Thursday, 24 November 1864 in Cork, ENG, "Henry Martyn Sherwood, Father's name and surname: Henry Sherwood & Mary Emma Taylor, Widow, Father's name and surname: Joseph Taylor.3" Rev. 27 January 1912 - Cheltenham Chronicle - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England Transcript: DEATH OF A VENERABLE CLERGYMAN. regret to state that the Rev. Henry Martyn Sherwood, of Pershore, died on Sunday in his 99th year. He was vicar of White Ladies, Aston, for 71 years, resigning in 1910. The rev. gentleman was ordained deacon in 1836, and spent all his clerical life in the Worcester Diocese. Before going to White Ladies he was curate at Rushock. He also held the rectory of Broughton - Hackett from 1843 to 1898 simultaneously with the living of White Ladies.
