Page 408: April 1634, with his wife Alice and children Ann, Rose, Thomas, Rebecca. Sailed from Ipswich, Suffolk, England in the ship "Frances". They spent time in Wethersfield, CT and appeared at Fairfield as early as 1648, when a bill of sale of land to John Holly by Sherwood, appears on Stamford, CT land records. In 1650 he bought land at Barlow's Plain, Fairfield. Children by first wife: Jane, Tomson (Prob.Thomasine), Margaret, Sarah, Hannah, Rose, Thomas, Rebecca. Children by second wife: Mary: Stephen, Matthew, Mary, Ruth, Abigail, Isaac - 14 children in all. Widow Mary went on to marry John Banks. Mary d.1693/4
Hannah Lumis" was mentioned in her step-mother Mary Banks' Last Will. She was given "moveables". Will did not say "daughter Hannah" like she did with her own birth kids. See GMV Vol 6, p.309, TAG 80:281.
