Biography

Daniel Sherwood

Daniel was born at McGrawville, Cortland County, NY on November 20, 1821. [1]

He lived in the Chenango County, New York area for 60 years and was well known throughout the county. [1]

He married Sally Robins of Smyrna in 1840. [1] She passed away in 1880. [2]

He married Olive Greenman of DeRuyter in 1882. [1] [3]

He had five sons and one daugher: Jerome, of Norwich; Deloss and Lafayette, of Beaver Meadow; Wallace, of Fayetteville, and Carl, of Greene, and by one daughter, Esther Orville Foster, of East Pharsalia.[1]

He was a deacon of the Christian Church at Beaver Meadow for many years.[1]

He passed away in 1904. [1]

He is buried in Cole Hill Cemetery, Otselic, Chenango County, New York, USA. [1][2]

I wonder if he could be related to John D. Sherwood . They both have children with the name Delos. I know that's a stretch...

He is listed as David on at least two census records.

His obituary says he's from McGraw. There is a Clark Sherwood in the McGraw Cemetery b. 1866. Maybe could be possibly a relative? maybe I could triangulate some connection.
