Biography

James was born in 1805. James Shields was born in Tennessee.

He was in the eastern division of Monroe County, Mississippi in 1860.[1]

He was in Monroe County, Mississippi in 1870.[2]

At age 75 he was widowed and living in Beat 5 of Pontotoc County, Mississippi. His parents were born in Ireland. He was living with children G. B. Shields and his wife M. A. M. Shields, Josie, Alice, Plumber and W. E. Shields.[3]

He passed away in 1885.
