Biography
HENRY SHIELDS, son of unknown parents, was born about 1837 likely in Preble Co., Darke Co., or Miami County, Ohio where many Shields families resided in the early years..
Henry is given as having served in the Civil War as a Private in Co. B, 44th Regiment, Ohio Infantry. [1]
He passed away 21 August 1881 apparently in Miami County, Ohio.
He is buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, USA [2]
