Melissy as Molly appears to be living with Alfred Shifflett, but using the last name of Herring on the June 23 1870 census. She married him 24 Sep 1870 according to marriage records. The census is unclear if the children listed on the census are hers, his or theirs.
Malisa and Alfred Shifflet also appear on the 1880s census but it is unclear if these are the same people.
