Myrtle Corene Shinn was born in 1878 in Clarke, Iowa, her father, William, was 39, and her mother, Serene, was 28.
She married James Franklin Huckaby on May 12, 1900, in her hometown. They had six children in 14 years.
She died in 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 81, and was buried in Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, Cook County, Illinois.
