Biography

Sherron Leann Shipe was born on December 18th, 1961 on the USAF Goose Air Base in Labrador, Newfoundland, Canada. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma and left this world at her and Roy’s beautiful log home in Rogers, Arkansas, March 18th, 2022 after an 18-month hard fought battle with renal cell carcinoma which had spread throughout her body.

She spent her life serving others, paying it forward and was deeply loved by her family and friends. She was extremely talented, loved doing crafts and made beautiful quilts, cross stich, soaps and knitted items. She had a real eye for beauty and enjoyed decorating her home with beautiful things. She loved to cook, bake and try new recipes. We will all miss her wonderful meals and goodies she made.

Sherron was a data analyst for the last 25 years tracking the work done at environmental clean-up sites. She worked 12 years at Kerr McGee and Tronox, then Kemron, APTM and GEI Consultants. She enjoyed many great relationships with close friends who encouraged her to the end. Sherron was also very active for many years in many masonic organizations beginning in her youth in Job’s Daughters, PHQ, as an adult PGG and also very active in Eastern Star, PM and the Order of the Amaranth.

She is survived by her parents Robert and Betty Shipe, sister Darlene, brother Robert and his wife, Melinda, fiancé Roy, three sons Christopher Jacobs and his wife Andrea, Ryan Jacobs, Nicholas Jacobs and his wife Courtney, 9 Grandchildren Aidan, Anabel, Connor, Tyler, Brittney, Ryan II, Nathan, Caulin, Zachary and 1 great grandchild, Sutton.
