Ernest George Montague Shipman was born in Ottawa, Canada, 16 December 1871, the son of Montague A B Shipman and Elicia Halpenny;[1][2]
he immigrated to the United States in 1900.
Sara "Sadie" Agnes Mcintosh in New York City, 8 August 1921.[6][7]
He was the motion picture producer of seven silent films at the time of his death in 1931.
Ernest died at his home in Jackson Heights in the borough of Queens (Hampton Court, 35-46 79th Street) of cirrhosis of the liver, aged 59.
His funeral took place at his residence on Monday, August 10, 1931, at 2.00pm.
He was then cremated at Fresh Pond Crematory and Columbarium, Middle Village, Queens County, New York.[8][9]
