Research Notes

The 1900 Massachusetts lists a Frank R. Shipman, born in Connecticut in May of 1863. He is a clergyman, married to Mary A., born in Dec., 1867 in Massachusetts. Could be the same Frank Shipman.

In 1920, Frank was living with his wife's inlaws, her brother Alfred and her mother Mary. His children were not listed.

Frank Robinson, born February 15, 1863; graduated from Yale College in 1885, and from the Theological Department of that university in 1889, and since May 1, 1889, has been assistant pastor of the First Church of Hartford.

Marriage of the Rev. Frank R. Shipman

The marriage of Miss Mary Appleton Ripley of Andover, Mass., to the Rev. Frank Robinson Shipman, eldest son of Judge Nathaniel Shipman, will take place in the South Church, Andover, at 4:30 p. m., Thursday, June 15. Miss Ripley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ripley. There will be a large attendance of relatives of friends of Mr. Shipman from this city at the wedding.
