William was christened in 1742 in Yate, son of Joseph and Hannah Shipp. On 3 May 1757 he and Rachel Pullin married in Yate. They have the following children Grace 1767, Joseph 1768, Daniel 1770, James 1774, Mary 1775 & William 1782. His wife was seven months pregnant with Grace when they married. James died in infancy. Rachel died in 1800. He might be the William Shipp buried in Yate 15 May 1825 but that record has "age 86."
