Narcissa Shipp Edwards died at the home of her son Wiley Roy Edwards in Clay County, Missouri
Rev. John and Narcissa Edwards are buried in a cemetery on the Peters farm, Nodaway Twp., Andrew Co., Missouri. James Eldon Edwards visited the cemetery in 1966. The only stone remaining was that of Narcissa, stating, "Narcissa Wife of Rev. John Edwards, died May 19, 1860." The stone was broken at the bottom. In 1972, James returned to the farm and took the Gravestone with him. He had it placed on his Cemetery Lot #25, Section C, Mount Sidney Cemetery, Linwood, Kansas, supposedly with an explanation of where it was from and how it got to its' present location.
