Henrietta Clay Shipp was born on November 16, 1844 in Virginia. She was the daughter of Lucy Blackwell Scott and John Shipp.
In 1850 Henrietta was living in Ashbys, Fauquier, Virginia, with her mother and her siblings. Scott Shipp age 11 and Ella Shipp age 9. Her mother moved her family to Boone County, Missouri in 1852.
Henrietta married John L Bass on 1 Dec 1863 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Henrietta died on 19 Jan 1915 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Her burial date was 21 Jan 1915 at Graceland Cemetery in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.
