Peter was born in 1765, the son of Peter Shippee and Zerviah (Herendeen) Shippee. He married twice, first to Susanna (Tenney) Shippee on 5 Feb 1793 in Ashfield, Massachusetts[1]; and, second to Dorcas (Pike) Shippee on 20 Oct 1817 in Montague, Franklin Massachusetts.[2] According to his Find A Grave Memorial, Peter had six children with Susanna and five children with Dorcas.[3] He passed away in 1855 at age 90.
Research Notes
Gravestone records DOB as April 1865, but that is only 5 months after the birth of Peter’s brother, Jesse. So, I have omitted the month of April in Peter’s DOB in his Wikitree profile.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:
