Mary Shirley is a part of US Black heritage.

Mary E.[1][2] Shirley was born about 1845[1][2] in Pennsylvania. She was the child[1][2] of Matilda J. Beck and Charles Shirley, and the sister[1][2] of Civil War veteran John Shirley of the famous 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry.

Education

In 1850, she is attending school, probably in or near Salisbury, Pennsylvania.[1] In 1860, she is attending school, probably in or near Parkersville, Pennsylvania.[2]
