One of the corners of this land is "the place which is called the marked hickory by the R. L. Roade, thence along a line of marked trees that parts the land of RICHARD SHIRLEY and this land.

Order book 1713-1719 page 111 June 15, 1715 Richard Shirley having acknowledged a deed of indenture for land with ye livery and seizen theron, endorsed unto Robert Harrison and Anne Shieley, ye wife of ye said Richard, having relinquished her right of Dower to ye sd. land, on ye sd.
