James Shirley was born 21 December 1784 in the Parish of Mothel County, Kilkenny, Ireland^[1].

James was age 77 in 1861 and living at Weldford, Kent Co, New Brunswick Canada^[1].

James married Nancy Berry Doloway in Amhurst Nova Scotia, Canada. Burial: Beersville, Kent County New Brunswick. She was born in 1799.

James died 26 August 1872 in Main River Kent County, New Brunswick Canada. Burial: St. James Cemetary Beersville, New Brunswick
