DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Isaac by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Isaac:

Previously, Christian Shirley was attached as the father of Isaac Shirley. Christian Shirley, son of Peter Shirley, is too young to be the father of Isaac. Furthermore, the Shirley DNA project shows that Christian Shirley is related to Michael Shirley of early Madison Co, KY, and Valentine Shirley. Although there is no y-DNA representative of Isaac Shirley, his supposed brother, William Shirley of Mercer County, KY, does have y-DNA descendants at the DNA project. William Shirley of Mercer does not Match Christian, Michael, and Valentine, and thus are not genetically related.
