Biography
Abraham B Shockey was born in 1836, son of Samuel Shockey (~1798–1859) and Nancy Ward (1798–1872).
In the 1850 census Abram Stuckey (age 14) was living with his father Samuel Stuckey (age 52), mother Nancy (age 51), with siblings: Samuel Stuckey (20), and Elizabeth Shockey (11), in Auglaize Township, Allen, Ohio, United States.[1]
Abraham (22) married Mary R Counsellor (22) (born in 1836 in Ohio) on December 1, 1859. Their daughter was:
- Temperence Emeretta Shockey (1860–1913)
Abraham's wife Mary Rebecca died in 1961.
Abraham married Catharine Kerr on 6 February 1862 in Hardin, Ohio, United States.[2] Their children were:
Abraham died at the age of about 28 on 9 April 1864 and was buried in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA. Abraham was mentioned on a memorial at Knoxville National Cemetery, Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, United States with a death date of 9 August 1864.[3]
