Biography

Jane was born about 1683[1] in Kent, England.

Jane married Jethro Sandwell on the 22nd November 1705 at St. Peter in Thanet, Kent, England.[2]

She passed away aged 89 years in 1772 and was buried 4th March 1772 at St. Peter in Thanet, Kent, England[1].

Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Sandwell of the parish of Saint Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent, widow. I being of sound and disposing mind and memory. First I give and bequeath to my grand Daughter Sarah Bachell, widow, the sum of fifteen pounds of lawful money of Great Britain at the end of one year after my decease. And if she shall not be then living I give the same to her two children Sarah Bachell and Stephen Bachell and to the survivor of them if either of them shall happen to be then dead. And I give and bequeath all the Residue and Remainder of my Monies, Effects, Goods, Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever to my Son John Sandwell and my Daughter Sarah wife of Stephen Sandwell equally to be divided between them, they paying thereout all my just Debts and funeral Charges. And I do appoint them, my said Son and Daughter Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand ? ? this thirtieth day of December in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three and in the fourth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord King George the Third. It is likely she was the daughter of John & Sarah Shonke who were living in St. Peter in Thanet, Kent and having children baptised from 1672.
