It is reported that there were 3 Dace brothers who lived in America in the late 18th century. I have no information of their ancestors, but here is some info re the wife of Michael Dace.
About 1810 Michael married Mary Ann Shook. She was a descendent of Richard Valentine born about 1595 in Lancaster, England. Richard Valentine married on 6 Feb 1610 to Ann Sedon. Their son, Richard Valentine, was born in Hempstead, New york and died some 60 years later in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He and wife, Deborah, were parents of: Ann, Margaret, Richard, William Deborah, Mary, Ephriam, Jonas, Obadiah, Jonas, Benjamin & David.
Ephriam Valentine married Rachel Ellison about 1688 at Hempstead, Long Island. Their children were: Ichabod, Ephriam, William, Phebe, Charles, & Richard.
Ichabod Valentine (b. abt 1703 in Scotch Plains, NJ) married Hannah and had a son named Ichobod who was the father of Rhoda, Sarah & Hannah.
Hannah married Soloman Shook. Their children were: Samuel, Mary Ann, Margaret, Catherine, Rhoda, & Michael.
Mary Ann Shook was 17 years old when she married John Byron 25 Aug 1807. They had a daughter Sarah who married James Hulsey.
Upon the death of John Byron, Mary Ann married Michael Dace.
The earliest Shook ancesters I've located are Hermanus Shook about 1720 in Holland. His son, Lawrence, died in Petersburg, Virginia 11 June, 1796. Lawence was the father of: Samuel, Elizabeth, Jonas, Soloman, Daniel, Jonas, & Samuel.
Soloman married Hannah Valentine.
Mary Ann Shook Byron Dace later married John Horine. Her sister, Catherine, was the wife of Benjamin Horine.
