Biography
Justin was born on May 8, 1931 in Gregg Township, a son of the late J. Gross and Cora Corman Shook. He was a 1949 graduate of the Gregg Township Vocational School. On Dec. 18, 1954, Justin married Janice D. Witherite. Mrs. Shook survives at their home in Spring Mills. Justin served as the postmaster of the Spring Mills post office. He retired from the postal service in 1986 with 35 years of service. In addition to being postmaster, Justin also farmed on the family farm. He was known for raising and selling his sweet corn. Justin also enjoyed bowling in the senior league at Millheim Lanes. He was the secretary for the Heckman Cemetery Association.
