Biography

Lionel was born in 1919. He was the son of Lloyd Shorey and Myrtle Sibley.^[1]

Lionel married Pauline Chase on Apr 3, 1943 in Maine.^[2]

He died in 1975^[3] and is buried at the Park Street Section of the Lincoln Cemetery Lincoln, Maine.^[4]

LIONEL E. SHOREY, PATTEN - Lionel E. Shorey, 56, died May 12 at a Millinocket hospital. He was born in Burlington April 2, 1919, son of Lloyd and Myrtle (Sibley) Shorey. He is survived by one son, Paul of Patten; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Hills of Winterport and Mrs. Lorna Botting of Patten; six brothers Archie and Hollis, both of Patten; Norman and Clifton, both of Branford, Conn.; Howard of Burlington, and Floyd of Lincoln; two half - brothers, Randall Soucie of Burlington and David Thompson; two half - sisters, Mrs. Helen Page of Burlington and Mrs. Doris Ealey of Newburyport, Mass.; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews . Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.^[5]
