Molly Turpin
Grandpa Shorter had a German Shepherd named Joe that was chained outside the back of the house. Grandpa had Joe's chain lengthened to where Joe's nose would just reach the trim on the front door...You didn't know Joe was there until you knocked on Grandpas door...Then all of a sudden, here comes Joe, Barking and growling, standing on his back legs pulling that chain with everything he had! Grandpa said that Joe kept the unwanted solicitors away...However when Joe was off the chain, he was just a big baby that loved to be petted and play fetch. I wish I had a picture of Joe with Grandpa.
