Biography

William Hamelton Shortt was born on January 11, 1878, [1][2] in Sugar Grove, Warren County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Charles Shortt and Belle davis.

He married Anna B MacDonald (1878-) on August 1, 1906 in Warren county, Pennsylvania.[3]They had two Children.

  1. William H Shortt Jr. (1908-)
  2. Philip Charles shortt (1909-1910)

He registed for the draft for WWI, in Warren county, Pennsylvania, giving his birth as June 11, 1878, Married, Occupation Physician in Youngsville, Warren County, Pennsylvania, with a physical discription of Tall, Medium build, brown hair and Gray Eyes.[2]

They made their home in Yongersville, Warren county, Pennsylvania in 1910, where he was a Doctor and she was taking care of the home and children, William-2, and baby Philip.[4] He was a Doctor of Medicine doing General Practice in 1920, in Brokenstraw, Warren county, Pennsylvania. William, their son was 12, at the time.[5]

He died on January 13, 1954, at the age of 76, in Erie, Pennsylvania, and was buried in the Wintergreen George Cemetery in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania.[1]
