Biography
George served in the Revolutionary War with his brother William under Col. Kebain Van Renselar in Apr. 27, 1784. They were paid in certificates, according to US Rev. War Roll
George was born about 1767. He passed away about 1825.
George Showers is not the father of Mary Polly Showers. Her father is Michael Showers. George had only sons with his first wife and his second wife Abigail (Wickham) had been the wife of Ephraim Osborn and was a mother of four children from that marriage and she then married George Showers.
