Biography
Son of Thomas Clarence Shrader (1901-1999) and Ida Shrader (1902-1964).
SSAN 234-24-7753; issued in WV before 1951.
Reginald Woodrow Shrader married first Freda Olene Presley (1924-1980) in Squire, WV, on 7 Mar 1942. They had three children: Charles Reginald (1943-); Donna Olene (1953-); Rodney Lee (1955-).
Reginald Woodrow Shrader married second Ingelore Trettin (1935-) on 6 Apr 1965 in Istanbul, Turkey. They had two children: Mark Andreas (1966-); Regina Ingelore (1970-).
He served in US Army/US Air Force, 1939-1963, and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant, USAF. He was a veteran of World War II (China-Burma-India and Pacific Theaters) and Korean War. Post-war enlistments from 3 May 1946 to 30 Nov 1960.
He was awarded the following military decorations and service medals: Aircrew Badge (Wings); Air Medal; Good Conduct Medal with Three Knots; American Campaign Medal; American Defense Service Medal; Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Bronze Star; World War II Victory Medal; National Defense Service Medal
He worked as a communications engineer for Page Communications Engineers, Inc. in Turkey and Alaska and for NASA? at Greenbelt, MD.
He lived in WV, VA, Panama Canal Zone, India, Far East/Pacific Ocean area, TN, Alaska, MT, CA, Greenland, England, Greece, DE, Turkey, and MD.
He died of a heart attack and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
