Biography

Gilbert B. Shults was born May 25,1905 in Ellicottville, Cattaraugus, New York to Alonzo Shults and Mabel Fay. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

In 1930, Gilbert, age 24, was employed as a high school teacher and lived as a boarder in the home of Ruth Myers in Southhampton, Suffolk, New York. ^[4]

By 1940, Gilbert was married to Florence and they had two young daughters. They resided in Johnson City, Union Town, Broome, New York. He was a public school teacher. ^[5]

Gilbert died June 26, 1997 in Nokomis, Sarasota, Florida. ^[6] He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Apalachin, Tioga, New York. ^[7]
