Biography
Rose Annie was the daughter of Christopher Shultz. Her birth certificate doesn't indicate her mother's name but it was probably Harriet Bittick, Christopher's wife.
When Rose was thirteen-years-old her father died; three years later, her mother also died. Rose had one little brother still living - Robert was only five years old and Rose was sixteen. Rose and her new husband, Luther, raised Robert.
She married Luther York and they were the parents of Christian, Charley, William R. and Cora E. Rose's younger brother, Robert, never did marry, and when he was older, he moved back in with his sister, who cared for him until she died.
Rose died at the age of 67 and is buried at Gospel Ridge Cemetery in Pulaski County, MO.
