Maternal parent relationship is confirmed by a Family Tree DNA mtDNA test match between J.Treece, her son, and D.Crombie, her maternal uncle, who both inherited the mtDNA from Mabel Bonney. As well, there are many matching Family Finder tests. Their most-recent common ancestors are Mabel Bonney and Harold Crombie, Predicted relationships from FTDNA: Jef Treece and D.Crombie is great uncle, based on sharing 1079 cM; self with D.Crombie is niece, based on sharing 1876cM.
Paternal relationship is confirmed by a AncestryDNA match between Jef Treece and T.Shuman, where the common ancestors are Charles Franklin Shuman (1880-1958) and Jessie May Hart (1879-1956), the actual known relationship is 2C, and the expected shared DNA is 229cM (Shared cM Project, version 4.0), and the actual shared DNA is 209cM.
