Biography
Most of the information on Philip lacks a primary source. There are plenty of unverified sources out there such as Geneanet [1] and unsourced research from James Shuman. [2]
There is also circumstantial corroboration such as DNA matches for my father to the descendants of siblings of John Shuman, siblings of his father (presumably Philip), and siblings of his father (presumably Johann). However, since names of these DNA connections are based on user submitted trees, there is a chance that these names may be inaccurate.
